Following the tenets of the original Passive House movement, we can create buildings that are both energy efficient and healthful to the building's inhabitants.  

While the Passive House name brings to mind a laid-back approach to building design and operation, a successful Passive House project requires Active design.

Passive approaches to mitigating energy loss are deeply rooted in Building Science.  Actively applying the principals of established Building Science onto the new generation of the Built Environment allows Grin to help their clients achieve low or no energy buildings designed for occupant well-being.

At Grin, our designs revolve around achieving all of our goals Passively.  We then Actively apply High Performance systems to supplement the Passive approaches ensuring our goals are met when Passive measures alone cannot.
